Taste Of Asia 2024
Canada’s largest Asian festival, drawing over 200,000 attendees annually, offers an array of attractions. Visitors can explore diverse food vendors, enjoy live performances by renowned Asian pop culture artists, and participate in community events such as basketball tournaments and hot sauce challenges. The festival spans the area from Kennedy Road and Clayton Drive to Kennedy Road and Steeles Avenue East, coinciding with the last weekend of June. Situated adjacent to Pacific Mall and Market Village, it serves as a vibrant celebration of Asian culture and community spirit.
Our annual Taste of Asia festival was held from June 28th to 30th on Kennedy Road and Steeles Avenue, marking Canada’s largest Asian celebration. Nestled in the heart of the country, this vibrant event beckons visitors with its diverse cultural offerings and lively celebrations. Originating from a vision sparked by adversity, back in 2003 during the SARS outbreak that significantly impacted small businesses, our chairman, Dr. Ken Ng, initiated a street festival to rebuild community spirit. Similarly, the COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly affected our communities, making this year’s festival, after a three-year hiatus, a symbol of resilience and renewal. It’s heartening to witness our communities thriving once again through the vibrant displays of culture and camaraderie at Taste of Asia.
