
The Taste of Asia Festival was a vibrant event held from June 23rd to June 25th, aimed at promoting and protecting Asian heritage while fostering a harmonious community. Not only did this festival celebrate the diverse culture of Markham, but it also embraced the entire Canadian population. With over 150 vendors showcasing traditional Chinese, Thai, Korean, Japanese, Western, Vietnamese, and other Asian cuisines, attendees were treated to a wide variety of culinary delights.
Throughout the weekend, the festival drew an impressive crowd of more than 200,000 people from over 17 different ethnic backgrounds. This diverse gathering provided a unique opportunity for individuals to immerse themselves in the rich and multifaceted cultures of Asia. From trying authentic dishes to experiencing traditional performances and activities, attendees were able to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for the vibrant heritage of the Asian community.
